IN THE PRESS
I always dreamed of being a children's book writer and can now cross it off my bucket list!
Creative writing has always been a passion of mine and I love writing to evoke emotions.
I was born in Boston but grew up Erie, PA. After I received my Bachelor degree from
Miami University of Ohio, I returned to Boston for my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology
from Northeastern University. I still dabble in geriatric Speech Pathology, but mainly focus on
my family and writing. Currently, I live in the beautiful rolling hills of North Pittsburgh with my
Finnish husband and two beautiful children.
When I am not writing, or thinking about writing, I can be found being chauffeur to my two boys
or dancing Zumba. I am an active member of Western Pennsylvania Society of Children's Book
Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) and love collaborating with fellow writers as much as my time
With hard work and perseverance anything is possible! My debut picture book The Stalking Seagulls
will be available through MacLaren-Cochrane Publishing in early 2019.
